چکیده
We report the observation of vacuum ultraviolet (VUV) emission in the region 40 − 560 nm from incandescently heated atomic hydrogen and atomized strontium. Typically the emission of vacuum ultraviolet light from hydrogen gas is achieved using discharges at high voltage, synchrotron devices, high power inductively coupled plasma generators, or a plasma is created and heated to extreme temperatures by RF coupling (e.g. > 10 K ) with confinement provided by a toroidal magnetic field. The observed plasma formed at low temperatures (e.g. ≈ 10 K ) from atomic hydrogen generated at a tungsten filament that heated a titanium dissociator and atomic strontium which was vaporized from the metal by heating. No emission was observed with hydrogen when sodium, magnesium, or barium replaced strontium or with hydrogen or

We report the observation of intense extreme ultraviolet (EUV) emission from incandescently heated atomic hydrogen and atomized strontium. Typically the emission of extreme ultraviolet light from hydrogen gas is achieved via a discharge at high voltage, a high power inductively coupled plasma, or a plasma created and heated to extreme temperatures by RF coupling (e.g. > 10 6 K) with confinement...
متن کاملObservation of Extreme Ultraviolet Hydrogen Emission from Incandescently Heated Hydrogen Gas with Strontium that Produced an Optically Measured Power Balance that was 4000 Times the Control
We report the observation of intense extreme ultraviolet (EUV) emission from incandescently heated atomic hydrogen and atomized strontium. It has been reported that intense EUV emission was observed at low temperatures (e.g. ≈ 10 3 K) from atomic hydrogen and certain atomized elements or certain gaseous ions which ionize at integer multiples of the potential energy of atomic hydrogen, 27.2 eV [...

Line broadening of the hydrogen Balmer lines provides a sensitive measure of the number and energy of excited hydrogen atoms in a glow discharge plasma. The width of the 656.5 nm Balmer α line emitted from gas discharge plasmas having atomized hydrogen from pure hydrogen alone, hydrogen with magnesium or strontium, a mixture of 10% hydrogen and helium, argon, krypton, or xenon, and a mixture of...
متن کاملGrowth of strontium hydrogen phosphate/gelatin composites: a biomimetic approach
Recent research has focused on the crystal growth of strontium phosphates via different methods due to the bioactivity and biocompatibility of these materials with bone tissue. Here, we use a biomimetic method to synthesize strontium hydrogen phosphate/gelatin composites via single diffusion in gelatin. We compare the composite crystals with analytical-grade strontium hydrogen phosphate using i...
متن کاملHydrogen sensing by localized surface plasmon resonance in colloidal solutions of Au-WO3-Pd
Nowadays, hydrogen has attracted significant attention as a next generation clean energy source. Hydrogen is highly flammable, so detection of hydrogen gas is required. Gold nanoparticle based localized surface plasmon resonance (LSPR) is an advanced and powerful sensing technique, which is well known for its high sensitivity to surrounding refractive index change in the local environment. We p...
